The Deputy Prime Minister said that by the end of 2017, the growth of prices for gasoline and diesel fuel may be slightly more than inflation.
Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, answering the question about how will affect the price of gasoline and diesel fuel rise from 1 January and 1 July 2018 excise tax rates by 50 cents per 1 liter, noted that the rise in petrol prices inevitably will, but be moderate, slightly higher than inflation. But if you look at the three-year interval, this growth is placed in obstipation value, he said.
“Whether within the year (to meet. — Ed.) — inflation has fallen dramatically, so really, maybe the price of gasoline within the year will grow a little more, but nevertheless over the three years they are in inflation.”
According to the forecast of Ministry of economic development, at the end of 2017 the price of gasoline will increase by 2.5–2.8%, while according to the Bank of Russia, during the same period, the inflation rate should be at 2.5–2.7%, although earlier it was expected that it will be 3.2%.
Since the beginning of year gasoline has risen in price for 5,9%, diesel fuel — by 7.4%, data from Rosstat.
