Geely will develop flying cars

Chinese automaker Geely has bought the American company Terrafugia, engaged in the development of flying cars.

Terrafugia is one of the most well-known projects, who managed the furthest advance in the creation of such vehicles. The firm even managed to get permission from the Federal aviation administration (FAA) to fly as a “light sport aircraft”.
At the moment, many companies are developing flying cars. Among them are, as startups like the Slovak company AeroMobil and German project Carplaneand large corporations, including Airbus and Toyota.
However, Terrafugia is one of the most well-known projects, who managed the furthest advance in the creation of such vehicles. The firm even managed to get permission from the Federal aviation administration (FAA) to fly as a “light sport aircraft”.

American company working on flying car Terrafugia TF-X. it will Have four seats, the possibility of vertical take-off, folding wings, and autopilot with emergency landing without human intervention and a system of parachutes for a safe landing in case of technical faults.
It is assumed that the first working prototypes will start flying by 2019. The serial version will appear a few years after that. According to preliminary calculations, the cost of this flying car will be about 300-400 thousand dollars.
