Jaguar introduced a new compact crossover E-Pace, which will compete in the world market with the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Lexus NX.
As stated in the Jaguar at a special event in London, the novelty should attract to the brand, more youthful audience who pays attention to style and modern technology.
Length compact crossover Jaguar E-Pace reaches 4 395 mm, wheelbase – 2 681 mm, and trunk volume is 577 liters.
There are four configurations: standard, S, SE and HSE, and each version will be available with the R package-Dynamic with a different finish optics, grille, rear bumper and painted body color wheel arches. In addition, the package includes sport seats, a black headliner, door sill covers and pedals.
Default E-Pace is equipped with media system Touch Pro with a 10-inch screen, and for a fee you can get a screen size of 12.3 inches complete with a Meridian audio system. Provided a color projection display high-resolution, four 12-volt outlets and five USB ports for charging gadgets.
The machine has the function of retaining strip, control blind spot assist and traffic sign recognition, as well as system monitoring driver’s condition and emergency emergency braking with the ability to determine pedestrians. In addition, the machine is able to monitor cross traffic when approaching an intersection.
E-Pace shares a platform with the Land Rover Discovery Sport, so a two-liter four-cylinder engines are located transversely. The lineup includes only turbo engine: diesel capacity 150, 180 and 240 HP with recoil 248 and 300 horsepower.
Crossovers with the initial engines are equipped with four-wheel drive transmission Standard Driveline with electronically controlled center coupling, and the top version is the Active Driveline system with two managed packages of friction clutches on the rear axle and the flexibility to adjust the pull on each of the rear wheels. By default, this transmission gives the advantage of the rear axle, providing more gambling controllability and the ability to take turns in the drift.
