The novelty will be presented on 18 July this year.
Judging by the video, the pickup will borrow the basic design solutions from the prototype shown last year in Sweden.
Trademark Mercedes-Benz X-Class will share the basic components and assemblies with pickups Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan. The capacity of innovations to exceed one ton, and the maximum trailer weight is 3.5 tonnes.
The engine range will include a 2.3-liter diesel with two turbinepowered 190 HP and 450 Nm of torque. Top versions will be equipped with three-liter turbodiesel V6, the output of which will be about 260 forces and 620 Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Benz X-Class will get an upgraded all-wheel drive system 4Matic, with a two-speed transfer case and locking differential. The transmission is a seven – or nine-storyed “machine”.
Public premiere of the pickup will take place in mid-September at the motor show in Frankfurt.
