The light came the book “Domestic trucks” telling about the production models and prototypes domestic plants. She was the third in a series of publications about our industry.
A series of books on Soviet and Russian automobile industry was started in 2007. Then came the first edition of “Domestic cars” and, later, its second edition, and then “local buses”.
It came to trucks. Under one cover authors: columnist for “Behind the wheel” Sergey Kanunnikov and famous automotive journalist Maxim Shelepenkov — collected information about production models and prototypes created in a hundred factories of Russia, the USSR (until 1991) and Russian Federation up to 2000 the book is almost 800 pages and over 2600 (!) of photos, including rare, almost unknown.
You can buy the book at the exhibition of retromobiles “Oldtimer-Gallery Ilya Sorokin,” which opens today in Sokolniki and will last until March 11. In this exhibition, our publishing house shows at its booth the first Soviet motor car NAMI-1. This machine was dedicated to the publication in the first issue of “Behind the wheel”, which was released in April 1928.
