In F7x passengers climb on the second row seat without any problems. They love it there! Expanse Haval leads the trio. This is a full five seater car. And a level floor — the only “Chinese”. At last year’s test of “seven” we had no complaints about the build quality. While the coupe is assembled worse: between the rear lights and the body gaps are uneven, the driver’s door is hanging crooked. To close, have to slam with all the fluff.

Salon Eclipse is designed in a more peaceful manner, but finished no worse (but the Outlander and ASX interiors poorer Chinese!). There is even a head-up display (retractable glass) and a system of auto brake. Liked seat: excellent profile, decent lateral support on back and cushion. The most striking element — a raised center console dominated by a touch screen multimedia. Manage not only virtual buttons, but the touchpad on the tunnel, but it is not very convenient.

Minus — a small area under the center console (a smartphone with a 5.5‑inch screen doesn’t fit) and ugly bricks of the buttons for the heated seats — they look like an ancient pot-bellied, TV in the store of modern electronics.

What to expect from a car with 1.33‑liter engine? Courage! Such a cheerful, uplifting the vehicle’s acceleration Renault for a long time I was not surprised. Arkana finished smartly to accelerate not only with places but also with the move.

Liked brakes Mitsubishi and Renault and the braking distance is short, and the pedal force is adequate. And Haval stops in simultaneous braking of two or three meters further. Summer F7 of such claims was not. The scatter quality?

And generally, the “seven” went the other way — it is clear and unambiguous. Now, on the soft studded tyres, F7x demonstrates laziness in the reactions. The wheel went limp and lost in sensitivity, so the understanding with the machine disappeared. On the trajectory that the vehicle is reliable and tenacious, but the constant vertical oscillations of the body more or less marked wave of the exhaust. And yet this “tremor” on the little stuff! Hard. So neither of sportiness or comfort.

Arkana lays milder rivals, like hovering over irregularities, smoothing and comb, and “bumps”, and an impressive view of the pit. Only on single joints and patched Renault shudders stronger than I would like. Nevertheless — a great setting for Russian roads. And finally I don’t feel like beating the helm of that sin Duster and Kaptur.

Patency of the Eclipse is not better. The ground clearance is too small (185 mm), while diagonal display machine is not even trying to crawl forward.

On diagonalka Arkana puffed, gave the impulse to the “grounded” wheels, but to conquer the obstacle and could not. Otherwise this is a good all-terrain vehicle. Clearance there are already 210 mm, the motor and the CVT is covered by durable metal protection, there is a locking clutch.

So, if you periodically gather in the dirt, the Renault is the right choice.

Calling Haval Assistance, and an hour later we were loaded on a tow truck F7x. The next day I called the firm: it turns out that the test machine is out of order the oil cooler. Yes, our case is the warranty, but the mood is not better. After all, without this breakdown F7x lost the battle. It summed up vague handling, impressive fuel consumption, close the trunk. The second place took Arkana. Why the second? We took into account that rivals more expensive and therefore more sturdy. But Arkana not cheap. For half a million I want to see the car with better quality interior, efficient sound insulation and no annoying confusion with multimedial. Perhaps the version Drive 1 249 990 rubles more harmonious. It will be a fair deal.

In the first place — Eclipse Cross. Cool the competition interior, balanced ride quality, decent comfort, rich equipment. Even those 2 256 000 rubles, which ask for the top version, cause in these times of disturbance. And you can throw two hundred thousand, abandoning leather interior, electric drives, system of the circular review, the projective display and a few other minor details. And even in this form, this machine is half a head taller than Arkana and F7x. Without overheating.
