TOP safest cars of 2017 at the version Euro NCAP

In Euro NCAP noted that the new models showed better results in comparison with a restyled. Half of the awards went to the Volkswagen cars.

Volkswagen Arteon (“Executive car”)

Volvo XC60 (the”Large crossover”)

Volkswagen Polo (“Subcompact car”)

The German hatchback was replaced by the sixth generation. The safety of the driver and passengers was estimated at 96%, child occupant — 85%, pedestrians — in 76%, and security devices — 59%.

Opel Crossland X (“Small MPV”)

A new model of the German mark, which this year became part of the French Alliance Peugeot-Citroen. Criticism was aroused by the high probability of whiplash injury to rear passengers during a rear impact.

Subaru XV/Impreza (“Small family car”)

The only non-European brand, whose models were included in the list of the safest cars of 2017 — hatchback Subaru Impreza and XV crossover platform. The safety of the driver and passengers was 94%, child occupant — 89%, pedestrians — 82% (XV — 84%), and safety devices was estimated at 68%.
