Criticism was aroused by the high probability of whiplash injury to rear passengers during a rear impact.
Subaru XV/Impreza (“Small family car”)
The only non-European brand, whose models were included in the list of the safest cars of 2017 — hatchback Subaru Impreza and XV crossover platform. The safety of the driver and passengers was 94%, child occupant — 89%, pedestrians — 82% (XV — 84%), and safety devices was estimated at 68%.
