Toyota will build a copy of the legendary nürburgring race track in Japan

The racing tracks will be part of the research center of Toyota.

In Toyota’s plan to invest in the construction of a huge research center in Japan. According to preliminary plans, the complex will include 11 test tracks. One of them will be a copy of the famous Northern Loop at the Nurburgring. The length of this track will be 5.3 km.

The total area of the research centre is about 650 hectares. It will be located in Aichi Prefecture on Honshu island.

Investment in the project will amount to 2.8 billion U.S. dollars. The opening of the landfill should take place in 2023. Just to work in the centre in the first phase, plans to hire 3,300 employees.

The original nürburgring racing circuit, which is planning to recreate the Japanese, was founded in 1927 in Germany. She took the Grand Prix of Germany racing “Formula – 1”, now it hold the race in classes, DTM, GP2 and other ring series. The circuit is also popular among racers and enthusiasts, in addition, it carried out test drives of autonomies.
